Growing Up!

So it is official I become an adult this last week. What changed you may ask? I got so excited to buy my very first vacuum. After several minutes of contemplation Damian and I decided on a Hoover. I just love it so much. I was so excited I called momma Joyce right away. Its so nice not to have to call my neighbors anymore and ask to borrow there vacuum. It also has the cool feature were the cord winds its self up. Some times its the small things that just make life so good.
This is what our new vacuum looks like : )

Mr. & Mrs. Secol

The end of last year was full of change for Damian and I. We finished up the fall semester by traveling back home to Massachusetts. Our time there was full of adventures. The day after we arrived, my brother Oliver Carmack arrived home after serving a 2 year mission for the church. It was so fun to all pile into the van to go pick him up. Boy! Has he developed into an amazing man. That was followed by our family tradition "back to Jerusalem night" and Christmas. The best present we received was talking to our brother Peter who is currently serving a mission. That evening our extended family arrived to welcome home Oliver and hear him speak at church that Sunday. Two days later was the biggest day of our lives....we were blessed to be sealed for time and all eternity at the LDS temple in Boston, MA. I only cried once, lol! It is amazing how much my love grew for him that day.
Our reception turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined, it was filled with all our friends and family = LOVE.
Our gorgeous wedding cake - thanks Susie for making it
We spent our honeymoon at a cute little bed and breakfast. It was fun to walk around the old buildings and breath the New England air.
Longfellow's Wayside Inn
After 2 days we visited a couple friends and family. On New Years day we traveled back to Idaho and back to life. We settled into our new apartment (pics will come later) and I started school. For a bit we slept on a blow up mattress that our neighbors let us borrow (they have become great friends), and ate dinner on the floor or on the steps. We were so lucky to get a couch, table, and chairs for our apartment from my good friends Cindy & Vaugh Quinn. It has been a blast just having one roommate and learning new things about each other. Damian's mother, step dad, sister Psalm, and Psalm's boyfriend Justin came up this weekend for our open house here. It was fun getting to know them and it also helped me understand Damian more. Plus the open house was a good excuse to have a party and see friends. Our experiences over the last month has shown us how blessed and loved we are.
May we continue to recognize how blessed we are as we grow together as one.
